Independent software · one person
Small tools, built slowly, sold once.
I make narrow pieces of software that do one thing properly, run on your own machine, and are paid for a single time. No accounts, no dashboards, no growth loops — the opposite of how most software is made now.
One thing is far enough along to show you
Everything else is still too rough to put a page in front of anyone. What follows is in development, not for sale, and its page says so in the first line.
A second tool is being rebuilt right now. It gets a page when it can survive the same questions this one answers.
Three rules that decide what gets built
It runs where your files are
Local first, not local as a feature. No account to create, no upload to accept, no terms of service that quietly grant a licence to your data.
It says what it cannot do
Every page lists its limits next to its features. A tool that overstates itself is worse than no tool, because you will trust it.
You pay once
No subscription, no per-use meter, no upgrade funnel. Buy it, install it, keep it — including the version you bought.
What you will not find on this site
Deliberately missing
- No team page. There is one person, so a page of stock portraits would be a lie.
- No roadmap with dates. Dates get promised, then missed, then quietly removed.
- No newsletter. An email address is a request for one message, not a subscription.
- No logos I have not earned, and no testimonials from people who have not used anything.
What is here instead
- Source code and known limitations published for each tool as it ships.
- Prices stated in full, on the page, with no “contact sales”.
- A refund rule written before launch, not after a complaint.
- The person who wrote the code answers the email.
Ask a question before you consider buying anything
The most useful email I get is the one that describes your situation and asks whether this could possibly help. If the answer is no, I will say so.
Usually answered within a day or two, in English or Chinese.
